Dana Goldman, LPC, NCC, CPCS

I work with: Adults whose lives have not gone according to plan, including but not limited to: recovering perfectionists, high achievers, worriers, overthinkers, trauma survivors, adult children from families with addiction/chaos, people whose lives look good on paper but feel terrible anyway, and people dealing with chronic pain.

My clients deal with: the many challenges that come from living in an unwell world, resulting in  anxiety, grief (over deaths and lost relationships), depression, perfectionism, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, confusion about identity and vocation, trauma recovery, climate anxiety, and – last but definitely not least –  dealing with the impact of identity-based discrimination.

My clients describe me as: calm, focused, patient, safe, steady, empathetic, nonjudgmental and compassionate. Also I curse sometimes.

I have deep experience in: being present and compassionate during the hardest moments life brings us. Also, I have lots of training in strength-based therapy, mindfulness-based psychology, antiracist therapy for white people, Somatic Experiencing, trauma recovery, Buddhist psychology, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

Just for fun: I’m in an interfaith family and have studied and learned with Jewish, Christian, Buddhist and atheist communities. I’m an introvert who loves community, dogs, cross stitch, and dad jokes. I’ve lived in Kirkwood since 2006.
